A special day as always, when I receive a new post in my mailbox. Very inspiring and interesting to hear how others think about certain things.

Also very excited about your thoughts on small cameras. (:

Lieber Ramon,

this was so rad!! You make me want to shoot more color work. Good idea on including the notes/reflections on this experience; I love it.

Being out there with a huge camera is part of being open about what you’re up to I think. Love that approach and I must say it’s a decent way to interact and not just _take_ pictures.

Absolutely loved this series of images, and your honest thoughts and realistic approach to walking and shooting in a strange place.

Very nice. I was also in Porto last year, though perhaps less intentional in my photography than you were: https://neilscott.substack.com/p/notes-towards-a-successful-photo

Why don’t you believe in Leica or small cameras ? I appreciate the fact that commercial work often has to be shot on equipment in order to meet a clients expectations. The fact that you will never use a Leica doesn’t make you any less of a photographer though it hints at underlying bias / pre conceived notions. There is great potential in any camera one wields. Even a Holga.
